Pete Wilkinson\'s lecture

The Second David Bellamy Lecture was given by Pete Wilkinson on Thursday 16th October at the Royal Geographical Society, London. Pete, a founder of Friends of the Earth and Greenpeace, spoke of over thirty years of environmental campaigning which has taken him from South London via Rainbow Warrior to Antarctica. Pete launched his autobiography "From Deptford to Antarctica" at the lecture.

The lecture series was launched in 2013 by The Conservation Foundation and CIWEM to celebrate the 80th birthday of David Bellamy who, at a time of great change and development, when people were becoming disconnected from nature, emerged to enthuse a new generation to look again at the natural world, to marvel, understand, and value it.
