Awards
Wessex Watermarks
For environmental projects in the Wessex Water region of South West and Western England.
Launched in 1993, in association with Wessex Water Plc, Wessex Watermark Awards have helped finance a considerable number of environmental projects in Somerset, Wiltshire, Bristol, Dorset and parts of Hampshire and Gloucestershire. Originally the awards were restricted to water-based projects, but now they extend to any scheme, large or small, that is designed to directly benefit the environment . Grants are made quarterly and range from £100 to £1,500. A Gold Watermark worth £2,500 is awarded to one outstanding project. All projects are judged by a panel chaired by David Bellamy. Entry forms are available from the Foundation.
