About Us

Our View

In 1982 The Conservation Foundation was formed by David Shreeve and David Bellamy to promote positive environmental news, awareness and action.

Over the past 30 years we have helped create and manage almost 2,000 environmental initiatives, working with a huge range of commercial organisations, trade associations, governments and local communities. We were one of the first organisations to try to build bridges between business and the environment and continue to do everything we can to help shape and change corporate attitudes to conservation.

Our awards and projects help organisations and individuals from all walks of life engage with the environment and see the positive effects of their action for themselves.  Currently, our projects include:The Great British Elm Experiment, Gardening Against the Odds and Ulmus Londinium and Tool Shed

We have also supervised over 2,000 community projects for O2's Its Your Community and Think Big programmes.

In 2012 will be celebrating our 30th Anniversary. To find out our latest anniversary plans click here
